Colorado Mesa University hosted the 9th annual Upper Colorado River Basin Water Forum.

Those whose work revolves around the Colorado River like water managers, farmers and scientists attended the two-day event to discuss how to adapt to the changing environment of the Colorado River.

"It's a very complex system that we're all in so I think you get a better understanding of the whole, of both the needs and then the conditions of the watershed if you bring people together with different perspectives on that," said Hannah Holm, Coordinator of Hutchins Water Center at Colorado Mesa University.

Some of the talks focused on how to meet everyone's needs despite a shrinking river and other challenges like how to maintain a healthy river environment.
